Nice log texture and composition.

Nice composition and detail. I would maybe lighten the birds, but not the background, so the birds are highlighted more.

I wonder what the story is here? It looks like the lower, younger?? bird has just landed and is hoping to be fed by its parent who might have something in its beak? Possibly, as Dawn says, try lightening the birds - most software enables you to select the subject(s) these days. See if it looks better? If not, keep what you have, it's your picture!
