Nice mug shot of this bearded bird! The board and moss near his legs are very much in focus. However, I think if he were looking to one side, it would be more interesting. Center of focus is on the beard, which is low in the frame. Just my personal opinion though; not sure how a judge would view it.

I wish the bird was bigger in the image, but that is not always possible. Maybe a different angle would have revealed more.
