1. Reopening Face to Face Meetings at Noble
I spoke to Noble Horizons in February and there
is a real possibility we can resume something akin
to regular meetings in September for the 2021-22 season
We should be all immunized by then and Noble is slowly opening
its activities anyway as per the State and the CDC regs. Noble is a nursing
home and a rehab center
so they are under the strictest of guidelines and a SAFE place.
Not a slam-dunk but real hope!!! (and maybe we need
a fall back location??)
2. Time to think about the club
moving forward post Covid.
Do we proceed as before or incorporate new ideas???
a. Recruiting new club officers: Presidents, treasurer,
program directors,
coffee hour etc. A centralized structure works.
b. Hopefully some of our newer members would like to contribute their
expertise
and enthusiasm to reinvigorate the club after 2020. The club could very well
benefit from new ideas.
c. We need someone to keep in touch with Noble and plan and coordinate
hopefully for the new season
and most immediately for the Summer outings.
3. HCC Summer Outings…...Photo Safaris
By May most will be immunized and can participate in mostly outdoor
photomeets (adhering to safety precautions)….lets pick a start date.
Such as
a. Hudson NY….. town, waterfront and ancient shanty town…. lunch in
between.
b. Cobles again and Ashley Falls area?
c. Great Barrington walk around….. lunch
d. Local attractions Housatonic river, falls etc. etc.
PhotoSchool: Maybe even some members might assist any
members who have questions about their equipment and technique.
examples: macro, landscape and panoramas, manual focus, controlling depth of
field, lens choices etc. Buying new equipment,
choosing a camera systems and the joys of PS.
4. HCC Photo Quarterly Zine
a. I had an idea to create a HCC Photo Quarterly Zine with will be
professionally printed
Any and all members can contribute each issue could have a theme or not. We
could try this out
at no cost to HCC. Photo reproduction quality will be excellent.
b. Each issue would cost $6.50 for 20 pages per copy, .20 cent each
additional page
printed on premium paper. A great showcase for the club a good learning and
teaching tool.
