A winning image is not always one that wins a competition. It may be one that has appeal to consumers or one that is worthy of being displayed in your home. Regardless of the definition we choose, all winning images have impact. This program will define impact and discuss how to create images that make a connection with the viewer, evoke an emotion, illustrate a concept or new idea, or perhaps show something new to the viewer. From composing our images to enhancing them in post processing, we can share our vision and communicate with our audience. Finally, we will explore the stages we experience in our photographic journey and how we can take our photography to the next level.
Our show is at the United
Church of Christ parish house in Cornwall. It is scheduledto be running till Oct 25.

Our first meeting was a success! We especially enjoyed the member showcases - such variety of photos, topics and styles! Thank you to all who participated. Soon I will send all members the updated HCC Handbook as well as a listing of the Committee positions with notations of which positions still need to be filled. If you are able to contribute to the running of the club, please let me know. We could use a few more hands to help organize field trips, schedule programs and assist with salon shows. We Need You!!
Fall is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the crisp, cool weather and the vibrant hues of autumn leaves. Whether you are walking in the park, on a hiking trail or in your back yard, nature will be bursting with color soon. So bundle up and happy shooting! Let Lazlo or myself know if you have any ideas for fall field trips and we will send out an email to club members to see if there is interest. Also let us know if there are fall festivals and events you are aware of that you think the club would enjoy to photograph.
We’ve had a change in plans for our October meeting. The still life photography session with Sarah will be done as a field trip during daytime hours. Details will be provided in your email. So instead, we’ve scheduled a Zoom program with Bert Sirkin. He will discuss ways to keep our photography fresh and exciting.
Hope to see you all on the Zoom call for the October meeting.

Kuşadası is a large resort town on the Aegean coast. It is known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant nightlife, and ancient ruins, making it a popular destination for travelers. Kusadasi has been settled by many civilizations since being founded by the Leleges people in 3000 BC!
We arrived at the cruise port in Kusadasi which is at the very heart of Kusadasi Town. You can just walk directly off the ship and in 5 minutes be in the center of Kusadasi Town.
We boarded a bus which took us to the ancient city of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in the world. We explored its remarkable ruins, including the grand Library of Celsus and the magnificent Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. There were many, many tourists and even a few cats.
Last August 20th, I experienced a life changing moment in the ZERO-G Airforce airplane in California. This trip, through which I experienced weightlessness, is the subject of a feature article I am writing for an international magazine and was already reported about in the Lakeville Journal ( see attached ).
What was equally enjoyable was the little road trip through the "Los Padres National Forest," an area about 1,950,000 acres large, that got me to the town of Santa Maria from Bakersfield airport.
The more than two hour roadtrip was a gorgeous one with meandering roads through wineries, barren land, mountains vistas and sights of active oil drilling which made me stop on serval occasions to take some pictures.
Here are some souvenirs I would like to share with the members of the Club.
